So far winter has been quiet mild. By this time the last few years we've had a couple of inches of the white stuff and some bitterly cold days. Instead Christmas day was a balmy 12°c and I've been wandering round in a t-shirt most of the time. But the weather has turned, the last week temperatures have dropped and the scraper has been deployed on the windscreen a few times. With Lily needing a walk to doze on and me fancying a stroll we went down by the River Loddon near us, even at 11am the frost was still evident.
