Hidden gems
I'm often up in the Big Smoke for work, mainly just going to a site in the van and back again, but occasionally when no tools or kit are required I hop on the train to Paddington and then Tube it round followed by a nice walk. Having a wander along the back streets and side roads usually reveals something unusual and today was no exception. With time to kill and needed to burn off the sausage sandwich from lunch I took a stroll around the block before my 2pm. Lots of boring industrial units and a council estate but hidden at the end behind a café was today's hidden gem. An old Fiat 500 scrapyard. It was the front to an Italian car specialist and was full of slowly decaying classics, some ripe for a restoration, others ready to give up their parts for others.
