Blue skies

After a busy weekend away the first day of my week off started overcast. But soon enough the sun burst through and Lily and I spent a couple of hours in the garden playing.

A trip to the seaside

We decided to head to the coast today as Beach Buggin, the VW show was being held on Southsea Common. As well as loads of nice Dubs, some cracking company and fish & chips there is the added bonus of several sightings of the Isle of Wight Hovercraft bombing back and forth across the Solent all day.

Muddy boots

With the localish car show cancelled we decided as it was sunny and blue skies to head back to The Lookout in Bracknell again. The Camper made the perfect transport so we piled in. Sadly the brakes had seized on, no doubt a legacy of the atrocious conditions we drove in the previous weekend, a bit of rocking soon had them cleared with a bang and we were off. Following a go on the swings and the rest of the playground and a long muddy walk it was off with the boots and wet jeans for Lily.

My new office

Well, thats not strictly true. The sun was finally out for a few hours today. So following a few hours cooped up in the data centre I broke free for a can of Coke and a KitKat on the decking outside. Every place of work should have a lake!

These boots were made for splashing

With her feet growing all the time we treated Lily to a new pair of wellies. We also promised her a chance to splash in some puddles in a Peppa Pig style!

The forecast

For the last few days the temperatures have been right up, hitting 30°C most days and with clear blue skies. I'm sure its on the turn any day soon, but for now I'll enjoy the sunny weather we've been blessed with.
